Pathway towards Normalised Visiting

Progression to the next step has been slower than hoped. However, we have now reached the end of the second 4 week block and are ready to enter the 4 week block of Phase 3.

 

From Monday 7th March 2022 the following Visiting system will be in place

 

  1. There will be NO restriction on the number of people who visit at any one time but they must be from no more than two households.
  2. Children can visit and the responsibility will rest with the adult for supervision to ensure they adhere to the Infection control measures of Fairfields
  3. Visiting will remain as is on a Monday – Friday 11am – 12:15pm and 2pm – 3.30pm with visitors showing/doing a LAT prior to entry
  4. Additional visiting session Mon – Friday will be held each evening from 6pm – 7:30pm.

This will be a pre-booked session. Bookings for the evening should be made prior to 3:30pm on the day of the visit. Your relative/friend will then be made comfortable in their bedroom ready to receive you at 6pm. On arrival please ring the bell or ring through to your relatives unit and they will come and allow you into the home and check your LAT.

  1. There will be one Visiting Session on Saturdays – this will be at 2pm – 4pm.

 This will be a pre-booked session. Bookings for the Saturday should be made prior to 3:30pm on the Friday. Your relative/friend will then be made comfortable in their bedroom ready to receive you at 2pm. On arrival please ring the bell or ring through to your relatives unit and they will come and allow you into the home and check your LAT.

  1. Care partner and end of life visiting will remain unchanged
